Welcome to the Mindful Neurology Meditation Course.

Here is some information to help orient you.

1). The course consists of 6 live classes from September 17 - October 29, 2024. We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 4:30pm ET / 1:30pm ET:

Sept 17 - Session 1

Sept 24 - Session 2

Oct 1 - Session 3

Oct 8 - OFF, no class

Oct 15 - Session 4

Oct 22 - Session 5

Oct 29 - Session 6


2) Each session introduced a new concept and recommendations for home practice. We have a group meditation, led by Sarah Mulukutla, and leave time for all group members to share their experiences and ask questions.

3) Sessions last 1hr 15 min. Some may run over a few min depending on group discussion.

3) We'll meet on Zoom. A link will be sent closer to Course start date.

4). Recordings from each class will remain available for viewing.

5) We will send a Pre-Course Survey end of August to kick things off formally. The questionnaire will help us get to know your needs and interests, and include a Mindfulness Questionnaire. You will receive personalized comments on your Mindfulness Checklist to help guide your focus for the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, we hope you will

  • Know how to relax your body, and what that means from a physiological perspective (Parasympathetic Mode)


  • Become more connected to the sensations and messages of the body (Mind-Body Connection)


  • Learn to observe your thoughts (Meta-Awareness / Meta-Cognition) and make connections between your mental state and physical symptoms


  • Develop the ability to control your focus and attention

  • Create a toolkit of audio recordings and a variety of meditation techniques to meet your unique needs, with the overall goal of learning how you have the power to optimize your mental state to achieve health goals


  • Experience the benefits of a regular meditation practice by joining in with the group effort of this 6-week course.

PARTNERS OR FAMILY

Spouses, care partners and family members are invited to participate.

No extra fee to add family members.

It can be helpful to have a family member start a meditation practice with you! It creates support and accountability.

If you send us their email address, we will include them on course emails, and even send them a Pre-Course Survey of their own.
