Meditation for Neurological Health:
A modern application of a time-tested method.
Mindful Neurology's mindfulness techniques have shown surprising results for our participants.
"4 years later, the mindfulness techniques are a mainstay for me -- I use them to focus my thinking and achieve better recall." (Participant with Traumatic Brain Injury)
"I am using the visualization technique to help with my freezing. It happens less and less often!" (Participant with Parkinson's Disease)
"I feel more in control now, where PD has been in control up to now." (Participant with Parkinson's Disease)
Meditation stimulates the body's inherent repair and rebuilding mechanism.
On the Physical Level:
The nervous system begins to relax
The brain's electrical waves change
The body's stress response is regulated
Neural pathways begin to function better, as there is less interference.
On the psychological level, we:
Gain insights about our desires, behaviors and motivation.
Become more connected to our bodies
Develop resiliency and self-compassion
Learn focus and skills for concentration
Physical + Psychological Skills to regain control.
"The principal benefit is an awareness of my life style and a realisation that I can change directions at the drop of a hat." (Person with Parkinson's disease)
No prior meditation experience necessary! Just be willing and open to awakening your brain's pathways and retrain lost capacities.
